Hi Guys Sorry for the delay. I'm in the process of redesigning LlandaffRugby.com so that's it's all flashy for the new season. This information will be there. If you guys have any preferences for look, features, what you want on the site let me know. I'll probably work on it this weekend. Any ideas? ?

Hi admin man no problem about the delay thanks for your effort on the site!!!
Possible Ideas:
1. A page for photos past & present to go on the site eg. team photos, tour photos, club doo's
2. A page where the club can advertise & sell products eg club ties, rugby shirts etc
3.have a page where the club sponsors can advertise there business, & other companies (ie local companies can pay the club to advertise there business on the web-site.
4. A page showing a 'club captains board'!! a board showing all the captains & year of season throught the history of the club

Does the club have merchanidise to sell - I can set up the page.
Who should I talk to about getting photos/lists of merchandise?

Hi Mr Admin, Up in our Commitee Room there is almost a complete record of Team Photos for the club from it's inception. We would need to get permission from the Commitee but I'm sure they would be happy to oblige. Alan Thomas would be the man to speak to. Maybe there would be an easy way to get them scanned and sent over to you?
Also, quite a few times last season our team was featured in the ICWales (Western Mail) east division rugby round ups. They basically write a bit about the result, how the game went and who scored try's / points etc. These would be quite good as an addition to the leagues / results pages. It might also be good to keep a record of the final league tables each year going forward so the club has a record of it's results?

Yes the club has merchandise to sell, like ties, rugby clothing etc, not sure how much stock the club has got but im sure it can be found out!!!
As regards to who you should talk to myself & Ninjawinger will try & find out this week & let you no Admin man!!
Well im sure somone in the club will have a Scanner at home or a contact where we can get the old team photos scanned then its just a case of sending the image by e-mail!!!
Ian millward takes pictures most weeks at the games so im sure he wont mind sending the pictures by e-mail every week to go on the site!!

Captains board is case of someone typing the list out on a word document & e-mailing it to the site, so thats no problem!!!

More information regarding the 2nd team. Last year all the first team info such as results, fixtures and team sheets were on the website but none for the second team. From the outside it could look like the club only cared about the first team which isn't the case.
As well as putting the scores on the web site we should include scorers. I will supply you with the scorers from the second team if you want.

Killer, on the website there is a page dedicated to the Athletic under the First team page. Do we assume then that that is a page for the Second fifteen ? if so then all that has to happen is someone to have access to said page which enables him or her depending on what type you are to enter reports, team sheets, info and other items. At the moment it is empty, so let's get it sorted !!!!

Thanks for the pointing out the Athletic page. What I was saying was that last year nothing got updated in that page so when I went to look in their it was blank.
I can either send Mr Admin the score and scrorers for the second team or update the page myself - The choice is yours! let me know
For the team sheets Steve Thomas is probably the best to update the page as he goes to the selection meeting.

As I have said in a previous post, this web site is a great vehicle for getting out info and reports ect. But each age group requires access to their own page to enable things to be regularly updated. As we can all see not many players from all age groups are using this website !!! the resons are simple. As you have just commented Killer nothing was updated on a regular basis therefore people tend to loose interest very quickly. This website is really good so why are we not attracting our own club members. Time to take action and spread the word. If people want to know who is and who is not playing, and in which fixture, and where, tell them to look at the Club Website !!!! all info should be available for all age groups !!!! I think it is unfair to expect one or two admin staff to look after all age group boards, they have enough to do keeping undesireables and hackers ect off the site. I have asked regular after training as to who are the admin team, and I always get the answer I'm not sure, or it is so and so but he is not here tonight !!! we need a meeting with all age groups to sort out the website, so let's sort it !!!! Admin.

Why dont you just get your information across by using the forum pages!!
eg. if you want to put the 2nds team, results, scores, just start up a new post on the forum every week for each game!!! So Killer feel free to carry out the duties of putting all the 2nd team info on a forum Thread every week!!
The forum has been split up into sections for Seniors, Youth, Junior, so as a quick solution just use the relevant sections to put across what u need!!!

Good point Rippoooorrrrrr, that is not the problem, we have an all singing all dancing website with pages dedicated to specific teams. With all due respect i don't think players at under eight would give a flying wotsit about what the Firsts or even the seconds for that matter are up to. Also I don't think that the seniors care much about what goes on in the junior section. That I think is the reason we have seperate pages on the site. It's not a problem to e-mail the admin staff, it's just esier if people cater for their own age group, each age group would prefer to log on and go to their relevant age group page and read about themselves, look at relevant photos of their age grade ect !!!! we have a very large junior section so let's be pro active and get them involved.

Hi Guys I've had a lot of requests for buying shirts, ties etc from the site - does anyone have a contact number/email for the club buyer or person who has control of the club products?? I'm trying to create a page for buying ties/shirts/kit etc.
Does anyone want new forums for Juniors/Seniors?
I can give access to anyone who wants to help put things on the website - I don't think it's a good idea giving lots of people access as it will mean monitoring all the information but if something from each team wants to take responsibility I'd be happy to send over the information.
Let me know.
Admin
